Man Cup, in conjunction with South Georgia Motorsports Park, has decided to add Pro Stock Bike to the 44th annual FuelTech World Finals presented by Wiseco class lineup. Coming on the heels of the massive 10k to win MPS Racing Pro ET as well as the 5k to win Liska Racing Street ET announcements, the addition of Pro Stock Motorcycle will certainly add to the already star-studded event lineup.
“This year’s FuelTech World Finals presented by Wiseco was a very natural choice for Man Cup to add Pro Stock Motorcycle to the event. We have been trying to do it for the last five-plus years now but it just never has been logistically possible with the NHRA Finals just a week prior to our event. With the Covid-19 abbreviated NHRA season ending this weekend in Las Vegas, we felt it was the right time to invite those Pro Stock Motorcycle teams to compete with us. All NHRA legal bikes are invited to compete and the race will be run under the current NHRA class guidelines. We have been getting more and more of the PSM community attending the Finals over the last couple of years and we hope to see a bunch of the teams come and compete for this time around. The vast majority of the teams and riders came thru the IDBA/Prostar/Man Cup ranks and in speaking with some of them they think it will be really cool to get back to their roots for a weekend.” Man Cup Principal Jay Regan stated.
Man Cup founding member Paul Gast of Fast by Gast was elated by the news. “It is just another great idea in trying to make the Finals as big and bad as possible! ManCup had this very same thing in play for my FBG Nationals at Dragway 42 in July but NHRA decided to go back racing that very weekend so the plan was scrapped. I love that they are revisiting it for the Finals.” added Gast.
The Pro Stock Motorcycle class at the Finals is a collaboration between South Georgia Motorsports Park and the Man Cup. PSM teams planning to attend will enjoy complimentary gate entry, testing, and class entry fees courtesy of SGMP and Man Cup. Teams interested in attending should please contact Jay Regan at MRERACE@gmail.com or 727-791-1321 for complete details.
