Man Cup today announced that they will be following the lead put forth by the NHDRO organization in eliminating the Crazy 8’s category moving forward into the 2019 season and beyond. All existing Crazy 8’s riders are encouraged to enter in the MTC Engineering Super Comp category.
“Having both Crazy 8’s and Super Comp in today’s world is completely redundant, period. There was a point, and you have to go back at least four years or more, where you could say a street tire / no bar racer may have been at a disadvantage as compared to a bar bike. Our Worldwide Bearings Crazy 8’s riders have proven to be some of the hardest working, sharpest racers we have in our Man Cup presented by Vance & Hines series” stated Man Cup event director Jay Regan. “They will do just fine mixed in with the slick and wheelie bar entries in MTC Engineering Super Comp”.
All you have to do is review the final points standings to see the street tire bikes are no longer at a disadvantage. Today’s clutch, chassis, and suspension advances have made street tire / no bar entries very, very lethal. The season-opening April 5-6-7 running of the 38th annual Exoticycle Spring Cup presented by Roaring Toyz at South Georgia Motorsports Park will see these changes.
