Designation: “TFT” followed by motorcycle number. Reserved for US Legal Top Fuel Harley and FIM legal Super Twin nitro burning dragsters built specifically for all out drag racing.



This class will be a points class at all MANUFACTURERS CUP events.

It will be the riders responsibility to monitor his or hers points earnings after every event. All requests for points adjustments must be made in writing to within thirty days of the points posting for the event in question on all events EXCEPT the Finals. For the Finals ONLY, all requests for points adjustments, again, must be made in writing to and within TEN days of the points being posted. Please understand the Man Cup will strive to keep the points tabulations for all classes accurately and correctly and we do hope by you monitoring your own points earnings that any errors or miscalculations can be corrected in a timely fashion.


Carbureted, fuel injected or supercharged single or double twin cylinder engines allowed. Pushrod aftermarket heads are permitted (including 4 valve). Crankcase and all tanks containing fluids must have vent tubes routed to catch can or have a non-spill breather system on motorcycle. Superchargers must have rubber manifold connections or some form of “sneeze” valve. Supercharger blankets are mandatory. Must have “Bellypan” scatter / oil retention blanket under engine. S.F.I. Specification 46.1 approved engine restraint systems are required. These restraints must be replaced or recertified by the manufacturer every two (2) years. Manufacturers shall only recertify the restraint system one (1) time. Chest protectors are mandatory.


Fuel to be mononitromethane and/or methyl alcohol only. No propylene oxide or nitrous permitted.


Mandatory on all motorcycles. Chain guard must be .060-inch steel or 1/8-inch aluminum and must be securely mounted in three places. Chain guard must cover the width and at least the top run of the chain, from centerline to centerline of sprockets.


Any type dry friction clutch, including multi-stage setup, permitted. Clutch engagement must be by centrifugal force only and must exhibit reliable disengagement at idle speed. Clutch must have a protective guard made of .060-inch steel or 1/8-inch aluminum that covers the unit 360 degrees.


Any transmission or high-gear-only system may be used.


Hydraulic type, front and rear, mandatory. Minimum size for dual rotor is 9-inch diameter, 1/8-inch minimum thickness for rotors. Single rotor must be over 11-inch diameter. Controls: Handlebar controls must be located in safe, workable position. Foot pegs and foot controls must be located in safe, workable position and must be mounted in a safe, craftsman-like manner. Rider must be able to shut off fuel without removing hands from handlebars. A secondary shut-off device attached to rider (in the event of premature exit from motorcycle) must mechanically control the fuel shut-off valve. Lanyard for shut-off must be run through an eyelet or guide, allowing the lanyard to be pulled in any direction and closing shut-off. Dual cable push-pull throttle assembly is mandatory.


Front suspension minimum size 32 mm and minimum travel of 2 inches. A steering dampener is mandatory. Rear suspension not required. Fork stops required; must limit the turning arc to 28 degrees.


Any type permitted. All frames should be heliarc welded and main rails should be chrome moly and have a minimum diameter of 1-1/8 inch. All major frame tubing should have at least .065-inch wall thickness. Rake angle should be at least 40 degrees.


Minimum of 2 inches with rider on motorcycle and 8 p.s.i. in rear tire


Recommended minimum of 80 inches, 95 inch maximum.


Wheelie bars are required. Minimum length from center of rear axle to center of wheelie bar axle should at least 84 inches but not to exceed 120 inches. Should be securely cross-braced.


Must be specified for racing use by manufacturer. Minimum width 10 inches, maximum width 14 inches.


Rear wheel minimum 15 inch, maximum 18 inch. Front wheel minimum 16 inch, maximum 19 inch


Seat, tail section and rear fender may be incorporated into one unit and must include a step to prevent rider sliding backward.


No body parts are required, except rear fender that must cover width of tire and extend past the rear axle.


Permitted. If used, should be mounted solidly to frame tubes.


Any ignition system is permitted.


Must be electric external starter. No rollers or push starts allowed. Bike stands are mandatory for starting. No dry hops in pits.


Must be mounted and constructed in a safe, craftsman-like manner. .


Only data gathering computers are permitted.


Full-face Snell M2005, M2010, K2005, SA2005, SA2010, SFI 31.2A, or 41.2A helmet strongly recommended. Shield required, goggles prohibited.


Full all-leathers or SFI Spec 40.1/2 suit, leather boots that completely cover the ankle with toe-area reinforcement, and full-finger leather gloves are strongly recommended. Gloves should be Kevlar-lined or equipped with slide buttons and have knuckle armor and palm reinforcement. Suits may be one-piece design or joined with a zipper at the waist. Spine/back protector and reinforcement and/or armor in the knee, elbow, shoulder, and knuckle areas strongly recommended. Ballistic chest protector mandatory.
